Oviedo would consider Manchester United move
The FC Copenhagen defender says he is "flattered" after being linked
with Sir Alex Ferguson's side, and admitted that the speculation will
drive him to improve as a player
The 22-year-old has impressed in his
performances for the Danish side which have lead to rumours of a
possible transfer to the Premier League this summer.
United are reportedly in the market for a left-back to provide
competition for Patrice Evra, with Everton's Leighton Baines also being
heavily linked.
Oviedo revealed he was flattered to see his name being touted as a
target of the Red Devils and believes the speculation will drive him to
improve as a player.
"I was very proud the first time I saw my name in the English
newspapers regarding interest from Manchester United and it made me even
more motivated and determined to improve as a player," Oviedo told bold.dk.
"It is very important for my career that the big teams know who I am.
"At the moment I'm happy to stay in Copenhagen, where my home is, but
I have to seriously consider my options if I get an interesting offer.
"I have to decide what is best for my family and me."
